cosc383: in addition to the "three oscillators applet" due April 4, implement as a java application (not applet!)or c/c++ programm:

cosc281: correct and redraw your crossword backtracking tree. Do not show the nodes that do not have any continuation. For example the level one choice is the hoses, level two first two choices (hoses, laser) do not have any continuation and should not be displayed. Due this Friday in class.

Project 332: Write an applet that implements activity for cellular automaton rule 45 for fifteen cells in a ring topology. A similar assignment by hand was due yesterday (Mon Nov 10, 2003).
Project 345: Use UDPclient/server and implement the first mini database on the client (due this Friday). Implement the second mini database on the server (deadline TBD).
Projects 383 Calculate 2 generations for the difference diffusion equation (dt=1, dx=1, j=1,..10, two generations, i.e. n =1,2)), due this Friday, Predator-pray is optional for extra credit. The next step: Write an applet that implements the difference equation activity as a one-dimensional array.
Projects 357: HotPotato routing step: write an applet that implements the nodes, the links and one packet (a circle or a square) that hops along a fixed path from the source node to the destination node where it stops (due this Friday). Next step: add the Math.random() random generator and hop the packet randomly into available links (deadline TBD).
